Summary
As the Church of God in Paraguay witnesses explosive growth, they also remain committed to fostering healthy pastoral leaders to sustain such vibrant ministries. This project empowers this mission by providing retreats for pastoral families, scholarships for seminary students, entrepreneurial training sessions, and gatherings for church leaders. By elevating physical, educational, economic, social, and spiritual wellbeing, the Paraguay Pastoral Care project promotes holistic sustainability for pastors and their families.

• $1,108: average total scholarship for one (of nine) current seminary students

Healthy pastoral families are vital to the continued growth and flourishing of the Church of God in Paraguay. National leaders thus identified the following four core ways in which Global Strategy can walk alongside Paraguayan pastoral families and support them in their ministries:
Pastoral Retreats
Pastoral Retreats
Known as “descansos” amongst the Paraguayan Church of God, these short retreats have proven critical for the health of pastoral families. Because church ministry is an all day, everyday reality for many of these families, the opportunity to simply get away and spend time with one another is a true gift for these faithful men, women, and children.
- A gift of $345 provides a Descanso retreat for one pastoral family.
Seminary Student Support
Seminary Student Support
As the Church of God in Paraguay continues to grow exponentially, the next generation of pastoral leaders is being raised up and prepared for a life of ministry. This project is committed to seeing nine current seminary students be financially equipped to complete their studies.
- On average, each gift of $1,108 equips one of these nine students to complete their seminary studies.
Entrepreneurial Training
Entrepreneurial Training
PAN (daily bread) trainings equip pastors and their families with unique skills for launching small scale businesses. These new sources of income promote self-sufficiency and long-term sustainability for leaders across the Church of God in Paraguay.
- A gift of $1,150 covers the cost of one PAN training.
Pastoral Gatherings
Pastoral Gatherings
Gathering together as the Body of Christ is a sharpening and strengthening opportunity for pastors in Paraguay. Through pastoral retreats, Church of God conventions, and CIID Leadership meetings, church leaders receive further trainings and empowerment across the nation.
- $6,900 is the annual cost of pastoral gatherings, conventions, and workshops supported through this project.
