On a continual basis there are large meetings of people from Bolivia and the Latin American region that gather together for worship services and training events. None of the current church buildings can host crowds larger than 500. Therefore, most events that draw crowds larger than 500 are held outside, often times under tents. This facility will provide adequate space in a comfortable environment that will be far more conducive to learning. It will also provide a place to host youth and children’s camps, retreats, and other activities.
The plans for this building were first approved by the District Convention of Cochabamba in December 2012. Unfortunately, for many reasons, the project was put on hold until December 2015.
The leadership of the Church of God in Bolivia has made a commitment to make this building a priority. Churches in the Cochabamba district have been asked to give both financially and in labor, and every church has stepped up. Total finances and labor costs given thus far are at $132,000 and that will only continue to rise as the project progresses.
